Life in the Digital Age (or the 21st Century) requires specific skills. The Partnership for 21st Century Skills has developed a Framework for 21st Century Learning that identify key learning and innovation skills, otherwise known as the 4 C’s: Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Collaboration. A blog is a great place for students and teachers to practice and develop these skills.
You can create a blog for: personal learning and reflection; sharing your work with others; and highlighting your personal strengths. Blogging can also be used to have a discussion about a topic by responding and providing feedback.
The possibilities are endless!
When you are blogging, remember to be responsible and only post appropriate content online. You also need to give credit to your sources for any material that you do not personally create.
